Crittenton events are girl-centered and largely girl-led. They build community, celebrate the achievements of teen girls, and honor caring adults in our region.
Relaunched with the 125th-Anniversary Celebration, this 200-person gala brings together a cross-section of our community. Each year, Crittenton recognizes honorees of its Leadership Award – role models for our girls and communitarians with a lifelong commitment to the DC area. It’s an evening of inspiration, great food and music, and a chance to raise the resources Crittenton needs to continue its high-impact programming for 400+ teens.
Information on our 130th-anniversary celebration will be available shortly. Our event will take place on November 8, 2018.
CRITTENTON’S HIGH TEA
As part of Crittenton’s Leadership Week (which includes our Leadership Academy), our annual high tea brings together 100 Crittenton teens and 100 caring adults. The High Tea “flips the script” – allowing space for teen girls to be heard and adults to hear them and ask questions. This 21st-century version of a high tea comes from the tradition of bringing multiple generations together in conversation, to listen and learn from each other, to express their thoughts, and share their perspective. Our High Tea event takes place every year on “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.”
This year's high tea took place on April 26, 2018.
