About Pearls
Program Details
PEARLS (Parenting Education and Responsive Life Skills) is a 26 week program for young parents dealing with the dual challenges of adolescence and parenting. Participants build a positive support group that helps them cope with the issues they face every day. Interactive sessions include group discussions, role plays and educational games.
Skill-building
With support from a caring adult, participants develop decision-making, goal setting, communication, positive parenting, and stress management skills. Topics included in the comprehensive sexuality education that we provide include sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy prevention, and the value of abstinence.
