Crittenton Achievements
Goal Setting Ten percent more girls achieved their short-term and 18% more girls achieved their long-term goals. An increase from 52-83% in ability to speak respectfully with a trusted adult about their feelings. Both a significant decrease (from 41% to 20%) of girls who rate their ability to resolve conflict very weak or somewhat weak and a significant increase of girl who consider their ability to be very strong (from 18% to 36%). A significant increase (from 78% to 93%) in the percentage of girls who make specific plans to achieve their goals was noted. Crittenton’s Performance Monitoring and Evaluation Plan includes (i) Pre- and Post-tests, (ii) Participant Satisfaction Surveys, (iii) Weekly Progress Notes, (iv) Group Leader Observations, (v) Unit Assessment of each Module and (vi) Individual Contact Reports. Program staff use Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) software to capture data for further analysis. The 2010-2011 evaluation of our programs will employ a newly revised set of these tools using three measurement strategies: a baseline survey, program dosage and fidelity measures, and an outcome survey. Philliber Research Associates (PRA) has developed a new logic model and revised Crittenton’s Performance Monitoring and Evaluation tools to align with our new curriculum revisions. PRA is a national leader of youth, adolescent health and teen pregnancy prevention programs and conducted two national random assignment evaluations of the Children’s Aid Society (CAS) - Carrera Program and the Teen Outreach Program. Pamela Wilson, MSW, renowned for her expertise as a curriculum developer and sexual health expert, is working in a consulting capacity with Crittenton program staff to revise the SNEAKERS curriculum in accordance with the SNEAKERS logic model. |
