Crittenton Services of Greater Washington

Crittenton Services of Greater Washington (CSGW) is a positive youth development organization with a singular focus--strengthening the ability of teen women to identify, embrace, and achieve their academic, career, and life goals. Drawing on a 124-year history of working with teen women, CSGW delivers comprehensive, science-based programs that have produced measurable results in:

»  Improving life and leadership skills.

»  Promoting healthy behaviors.

»  Preparing teens for college and meaningful careers.

Since 1983, CSGW has served more than 10,000 young women living in Greater Washington, DC through voluntary, school-based programs that nurture the strengths and build the assets of girls growing up in the high-risk environments that frequently lead to serious problems. Through weekly meetings during the school day and a range of out-of-school activities, Crittenton’s caring, highly experienced youth development specialists deliver a structured curriculum, become trusted advisors for the girls, and promote bonding between the girls and between the girls and their families.
